Hectic Morning...

I haven't been able to sleep lately. My dog is creating this massive mess in my new place (it's because I allow him to), and I still have yet to come back. I have to pack my case for tomorrows shoot, clean my car, wash my brushes...My head is so jumbled up with thought. But thank God for blogging. I used to blog on myspace all the time, but that was before I got all paranoid on who could see my stuff. And in the end I just deleted the whole thing. Too much drama for yo mama. 

ANYWAYS! Enough rambling, it's time to talk about what my blog is really for. MAKEUP!

I don't believe I have any followers yet, but to whoever reads this thank you in advance. But besides that I have another N.A.H.A shoot tomorrow in San Francisco. I'm excited yet calm about it because I already know what my photographer is looking for. I'm bringing an "assistant" with me who I am basically teaching my skills to. I have a few setbacks about it, but I'm just going to let it happen. Nothing with my name on it is going to look like garbage. Anyways my plan for San Francisco is to go shopping afterwards. So I HOPE it works out. Anyways moving on.

I'm starting to think about teaching artistry classes on my free time. You know get a bunch of people take them to a trial run that I have and teach them my tricks. But that probably won't be for awhile. Pics to come soon of my N.A.H.A stuff. I gotta wash my brushes and look for some that fell in my car. Grrrrr. lol night bloggers.

If I could turn back the hands of time...

Wow, I didn't realize that I have been gone for so long. There is so much to tell, so much to say, so much to express. Anyways, life right now has taken a turn for hopefully something amazing. I have officially moved back to the city I grew up in and have started to take some time to myself. My work a.k.a. my real job is still moving along, and I am just very thankful for everything that has been happening to me. So let me start with the first.

I was on my first movie set. The movie trailer was called Cada Alma, and it was the most amazing experience ever. I worked very closely with the director, and was glad to make new friends. The production crew was awesome also. I cant believe I was given such an amazing opportunity to do what I love. Anyways that done and over with and I thought I wouldn't have any gigs after that..

Obviously I spoke way too soon because guess what...I was hunted out on craigslist (yes I know, I posted on craigslist) to do a photoshoot. Her name is Steph and she was a beautiful model to work with. But anyways she was so awesome enough that she made me her official makeup artist, and we are going to collaborate on a few photoshoots...which I will be getting to in a little bit.

Fast forward 2 weeks after that..I was sought out by a fashion designer in SF to work a fashion show. This was a trade for portfolio pictures, but I COULDN'T PASS UP THE CHANCE! I never do trade work, but I couldn't resist. OMG so may people, so many amazing models, just an amazing atmosphere. I fell in love with the fashion scene and being credited for my work was even more amazing. If you'd like to check out the show it's based out in San Francisco.

So now moving forward. My sweet/very good friend Mel forced me to go to SF with her so I could do her makeup for a random photoshoot this past weekend. The shoot is for the North American Hair Awards that is going to be held in Las Vegas. All of us had clicked very well. Working with good people is probably what keeps me loving what I do. Anyways the photographer had hired me on for 10 more shoots for the N.A.H.A. and I am stoked. So yeah, if you'd like to see the work that I have been doing you can go to--

Where did i go?!

OMG..Can you say slapdick. I swear if I ever stop blogging for more than a week I need to be slapped. But let me update you lovies.

I've been HAULING like a mofo which will soon bring reviews and so forth. I've just been working so much lately also. Thanksgiving came and went, and I'm glad it's over. I went over to my boyfriend's dads house to have dinner and we hung out for awhile. Friday I worked and it was just soooooooooooo dead. This weekend I bought a 188 duo fibre brush, but I'm returning it because my procard should be coming soon from MAC. Anyways this weekend I've started to get sick and also got a new bed frame, coffee table, and a new tv stand. I LOVE LOVE LOVE ikea. Anyways I'm sorry again for being so random. 

My puppy monkey is passed out on my laundry right now and it's just so random but I love him. My boyfriend is at work and I'm dead tired. Also I must mention-- I hate state workers. GRRRR...talk about living paycheck to paycheck. It's so annoying every 1st through 3rd of the month.

Hibernating

Hey guys! I've been freakin hibernating lately. But I have some fabuloso updates. Lately I've been working ALOT and haven't taking time to myself. I've finally gotten to haul a bit, actually trying to play with new colors and product. It's FUN! But let me move on to my first piece of excitement.

For all of you that don't know MAC and HELLO KITTY are COLLABORATING! Next Febuary they are releasing the line and I'm so happy. My love for hello kitty will never die. But here's a picture of what's to come.



I HEAR off of specktra.net that it will have a SE Brush Set. How awesome!

Anyways I've also been hauling like I've said before and I got the little darlings pigments in warm. It's on my youtube channel and also random stuff from victoria secret. I've been wanting colored mascara and so I got it. I WANT teal mascara but I ended up with black, violet, and a blue. And I got some lipgloss =). It was all 5 for $20.00 and I couldn't resist.

So whooohoooo. Anyways-- I've recently have been try to wax my own eyebrows & its working!!!! I love how they turned out...Oh and I got a little photobooth happy...haha.

Wedding 11/10/08......Non-Edited...

OMG OMG OMG! You all (I hope I have some readers...) I have some exciting news.

So I did a wedding about 2 weeks ago, and well 2 brides and 6 bridesmaids later I was finished. Along with me came my own photographer Mr. Meron Woldezgi. He is so talented & was so patient for 3 hours while I got everyone beautified. He did befores & afters for me and I'm so shocked. He pretty much just made my evening by emailing me some edited photos for my portfolio.

So yeah the bride wanted the, "Marilyn Monroe," look and so she got it. The nude eye, dramatic eyeliner, and beautiful long lashes. She reminds me of a brunette version of MM. 

And the second look is one of the many bridesmaids waiting her turn to be beautified. I was kinda just in awe of this picture. ha But yeah, anyways I'm going to finish cooking dinner & show the love my new favorite pictures =).

Another Week Gone By...

Hello Readers..(if there are any out there.)

So it has been another week of just blahness and I'm still waiting for my package I bought on ebay. I'm determined to be an owner of the first Kirkland Signature Borghese brush set just because I'm a dork, and I want to see what all the comotion about them is. But yeah. 

Anyways I uploaded a bunch of videos today too on my youtube channel. One is a random tutorial and the other is my collective everday usage collection. So yeah that's the collection. What it all stands on is an Ikea wardrobe my mom bought for me, and I have a stool I sit on while I do my makeup. The mirror is actually from biglots originally $30 bucks, but I got it for $5....Gotta love BigLots!

But yeah I've finally gotten over my sickness and I'm just happy to be back to my normal healthy self again. Anyways have an awesome rest of the weekend, and hope everyone has a good week. =)

Tis A New Day....

So it's official kids..

Barack Obama is our new President. =) I'm quite happy with it. Downside-- Propsition 8 passed in CA....How sad. But enough political junk before I get heated.

Anyways I'm still sick but I just needed to blog before I start resting up again for work tomorrow. My mom came & brought me some food because I can't really go out. But I did to go to Barnes&Noble book store and picked up the following:

I already have Kevyn Aucoins' "Making Faces," book from my Makeup Artistry Class and am satisfied with what I learned. But with the "Makeup Makeovers," by Robert Jones he gives better illustrations of what to apply & where & also better before and after photos. My mom grabbed the Bobbi Brown "Beauty Evolution," one and told me to get it because Bobbi Brown goes through the different stages of skin from young to mature, and also a little in depth about skin. The "Face Forward," book by Kevyn Aucoin is awesome! I'm so excited to read this because it has actresses from our century transformed into Marilyn Monroe & Audrey Hepburn (I thought they were forreal too.). So yeah I'm excited to start that up again. Oh and for all of ya'll reading up on my blogs I also have a youtube channel out there under Monarav33, it just has tutorials, reviews, and random blurbs like my blog except it's live! Woohoo! lol I just uploaded my brush collection part 1 & 2 up about an hour ago. But if you're too lazy to check my channel I'm posting it here for all of you guys so enjoy. 

Anyways I'm tired of typing and I'm going to lay down now. Enjoy the night.
